Countdown to Avengers: Infinity War

It went without saying that this year's most anticipated movie is none other than Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War. Thanos is finally here and all our heroes are assembling to beat him down. I, myself, just like millions of people around the world, comic book movie lovers or non, am having such a big anticipation towards the premiere night of this movie. It says 27th of April but thank God I already booked my ticket on 26th. Gonna watch it in IMAX 3D, the best treatment a movie watching experience can get. The last time I watched a movie on this format is for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Talking about Infinity War itself, what I am anticipating the most to see in this movie is how the Russo brothers, the directors, are going to play around with the huge amount of casts in regards of the storytelling. For sure, not all characters are going to get huge amount of spotlight in this movie. The Guardians of The Galaxy gang, for an example, I bet would have an important role in the movie, but their screentime wouldn't be as much as Iron Man, or Captain America. Seeing how the Russo brothers pair is the best MCU director so far, based on their works on Civil War and Winter Soldier, I bet they are going to handle this brilliantly.

From trying to beat his bullies to holding against Thanos with his bare hands. That's what i call an inspiration

And death. The trailer kind of hinting about certain characters' death in this movie. Could be Cap, could be Tony. They also promote this movie as being different than other MCU movies as important events such as main characters' deaths could be taking place. But I don't think they are going to kill Cap or Tony. Marvel don't kill their characters. That's kinda the golden rule. Except for Quicksilver. Poor guy. Still, if anyone is gonna die, my money is on Loki. Thinking about it, it is about time if they want to put a conclusion for his character in the MCU, by killing his off. It could be that the Black Order is forcing him to hand over the Tesseract (as he has it as we saw he took it in Thor: Ragnarok), but he try to trick them, in which results in his death. He already tried to achieve his goals - conquering Earth, be the King of Asgard (in which he did, for 4 years), and kinda go to a crazy space adventure with his adopted brother. His sacrifice would conclude his arc in MCU nicely, I guess.

As for performances from the actors and visual effects or cinematography, I think it would be a feast for the fans. We have all the A list actors from Avengers, Guardians, and some new guys who are yet to be an Avenger like Doctor Strange, Spider-Man.. and Wong. This reminds me of some characters though, Hawkeye and Ant-Man. Poor guys got ditched from the marketing campaign. Not in the trailers, not even their name being credited in the official poster. And they managed to put Wong in the already-crowded poster? Wong?? Still I bet that Hawkeye and Ant-Man are going to have a secret mission of their own which is going to help greatly in the war against Thanos. I also bet that the post credit scene would involves Nick Fury and Captain Marvel, maybe finally she's coming out after her debut in the 90s era in MCU. The cinematography I think would be amazing. Russo brothers showed that they can handle intense fighting scenes in Civil War, as well as close intimate scenes between the actors. As for visual effects, boi does Thanos looks real. I am impressed that Thanos, as well as the effects on space and the final battle in Wakanda, even though are still in trailers phase, but already good looking and crisped. Not like that CGI movie called Justice LEague in which the villain was a PS2 CGI character.

So, here I am, waiting for 26th April, with my ticket bought online, and now let's just ride the hype train, people!
